Job Title: Senior Civil Design Engineer

Contract Scotland Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their successful engineering and landscape team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public realm, regeneration, and active travel projects, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and effective project management.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to understand project requirements and develop innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in design.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., civil engineering, structural engineering).
  • Chartered status or working towards Chartered status.
  • UK consultancy experience, with a strong understanding of local regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and drainage design software.
  • Knowledge of SuDS standards and best practices.
