We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Waiter/Waitress to join our team at The May Fair Kitchen, a renowned fine dining restaurant within The May Fair Hotel. As a Senior Waiter/Waitress, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant.

About the Role:

  • Supervise a team of Commis Waiters and Waiters to maintain high standards of service and quality.
  • Work closely with the Head Waiters, Bartenders, Floor Managers, and Restaurant General Manager to achieve success indicators and perform effectively in areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure seamless communication with colleagues and management to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with menu knowledge, wine lists, and other relevant information to provide expert recommendations to guests.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Waiter/Waitress or Waiter/Waitress in a busy, quality-driven restaurant operation, preferably fine dining.
  • Excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, and a strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintain a positive attitude, and be a team player.
  • Competency with IT applications such as OpenTable, Adecco, and Micros.
