About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Phonics Intervention Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Phonics Intervention Teacher, you will work closely with pupils who need extra support in phonics and early literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct small-group and one-on-one phonics intervention sessions.
  • Assess students' progress, identify gaps in learning, and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to align phonics support with the wider curriculum.
  • Track and report on students' progress to ensure measurable improvements.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment to engage young learners in literacy.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, with experience in primary education.
  • Strong understanding of phonics programs, such as Letters and Sounds or Read Write Inc.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting children's reading development.
  • Patient, compassionate, and adaptable to meet individual student needs.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff, parents, and children.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary, estimated at £25-35 per hour based on experience, and a fulfilling role making a direct impact on children's reading abilities.
