Long Term SEN Teaching Assistant Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a student in a Year 1 class at a mainstream primary school in West Bromwich. The student has Autism and requires support with regulation, enabling him to access the curriculum.

This is a long-term position, working Monday to Friday, during term-time only. You will be required to work 08:30-15:30 hours. We welcome applications from individuals available for an immediate start or January 2025.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and understanding when supporting children with SEND needs. A National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) accredited training course would be beneficial but not essential.

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, you will be required to undergo mandatory compliance checks, including a DBS check, in line with the Department for Education guidelines.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £25000 per annum.
