Warehouse Team Leader

Join Gregory Distribution as a Warehouse Team Leader and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and operational skills. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of warehouse operatives and provide guidance and support to ensure they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee the operation of counterbalance and reach trucks, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and used in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conduct regular checks on goods in and equipment to ensure that all items are accurately recorded and stored in a safe and secure manner.
  • Prepare and dispatch orders to customers, ensuring that all items are accurately packed and labeled.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity within the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all warehouse activities are aligned with company goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Hold a valid forklift license and be able to operate a range of warehouse equipment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of operatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
