About the Role

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is establishing the new Building Division (BSD) to ensure the safety and performance of high-rise buildings. As an Investigator within the Regulation of Building Control Profession, you will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with regulation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and carry out investigations into complaints and allegations
  • Prepare material for enforcement actions, criminal trials, misconduct trials, and associated appeals
  • Collaborate with industry professionals and residents to ensure a voice is heard in the regulation process

Requirements

The successful candidate will have recent experience in criminal and civil investigation. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

About the Team

The Building Division (BSD) is a new team within the HSE, established to oversee changes to the safety and performance of all buildings. Our goal is to raise industry professional standards year on year and ensure that tragedies like Grenfell are consigned to the past.
