Religious Visitor Opportunity

We are seeking a Religious Visitor to join our Chaplaincy Team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre. This is a part-time role, working across both Brook House and Tinsley House IRC, as well as providing Pre-Departure Accommodation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pastoral care and spiritual support to residents and staff.
  • Facilitate faith-specific services and activities.
  • Work closely with Security and Safer Custody to ensure issues such as Suicide and Self-Harm and Violence Reduction are addressed.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, including Safer Custody, Security, and Wing forums.
  • Maintain chaplaincy facilities and equipment to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Experience in delivering religious services in a custodial environment.
  • Proven high-level professionalism and competence in religious service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of other faiths represented within the centre.
  • Meet the specified minimum faith eligibility requirement of their faith tradition.
