Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Religious Visitor to join our Chaplaincy Team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre. The successful candidate will provide spiritual care and support to residents and staff, promoting a sense of hope and direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to residents and staff
  • Facilitate faith-specific services and activities
  • Acquire and distribute religious literature and materials
  • Work closely with Security and Safer Custody teams to ensure issues such as Suicide and Self-Harm are addressed
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and forums
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Christian theology or a related field
  • Experience in delivering religious services in a custodial environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
