Office Based Technical Support Role

We are seeking a skilled Office Based Support Technician to join our team at Taylor Higson in Macclesfield.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically-minded individual to provide remote-based technical assistance to end-users of various machinery, including printing presses and finishing equipment.

  • Provide expert troubleshooting support via phone and online, resolving electrical, mechanical, and print-related issues.
  • Work with the service team to plan and schedule installs, commissioning of new machinery, or on-site equipment repairs.
  • Order parts and arrange delivery.
  • Document all processes using client management systems.
  • Occasional travel to site may be required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • The ability to read and understand electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent client management and customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • A strong foundation in electrics or mechanics, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • A full UK driving license and willingness to travel occasionally.
