Are you looking for a challenging role in IT governance? Express Recruitment is proud to be supporting a local organisation in Leicester who are currently recruiting for an experienced Information Governance Officer. This temporary position offers hybrid working, with the requirement to work from the office one day per week.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly team and use your skills to ensure that government systems are up-to-date. As an ideal candidate, you will have experience working within a similar role, handling large-scale data protection and inputting data with high levels of accuracy. Due to clearance requirements, you must have been living in the UK full-time for at least 5 years with no more than 6 months' gap in employment.

Responsibilities
  • Engage directly with the public face-to-face, over the phone, and via email, addressing queries and providing support.
  • Maintain corporate registers, systems, and databases in compliance with legal obligations and organisational standards.
  • Provide support and guidance on Information Governance, including managing responses to requests under the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act.
  • Administer ICT systems, organise service processes, and compile, analyse, and interpret management information, including performance and financial reports.
