Technical Manager - North West

Reporting to the Operations Director, as Technical Manager, you will lead the technical team to enhance quality standards and culture across the site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the technical team, ensuring adherence to the HACCP system, and coordinating customer visits/audits.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the technical team and ensuring day-to-day activities are completed effectively.
  2. Ensuring compliance with the HACCP system and managing site audit schedules.
  3. Liaising with customers on quality issues and coordinating customer visits/audits.
  4. Communicating technical performance information to the business.
  5. Managing training for the QA team and technical training for site colleagues.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a senior technical position in the UK food or drink manufacturing industry, with experience working with major retailers.

Demonstrated experience in leading BRC, Internal, GMP, and customer audits is also required.

A HACCP Lv.4 and Food Safety Lv.4 qualification is advantageous.
