About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Systems Engineer to join our team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality power system analysis, design, and implementation services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Power System Analysis: Conduct load flow, short circuit, harmonic analysis, dynamic & transient stability, and protection studies to ensure the safe and efficient operation of power systems.
  • Power System Modelling: Develop and maintain accurate power system models using industry-standard software such as DigSilent and ETAP.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret simulation and test data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Delivering Results: Prepare and present high-quality reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Client/Colleague Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest technical engineering codes and practices and apply this knowledge to assist our clients.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to power system planning and design.
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering Degree: Minimum BSc/BEng; MSc/MEng or PhD in power systems will be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Power Simulation Software: Proficiency in DigSilent, ETAP, and other power simulation software packages.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support others as needed.
  • Commercial Awareness: Ability to generate business through existing and new workstreams.
  • IT Literacy and Numeracy Skills: High level of IT literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable Skills
  • PSCAD Knowledge and Modelling Experience: Knowledge and experience with PSCAD and power system modelling.
  • Scripting Capability: Ability to write scripts in Python, DPL, and/or Fortran.
  • Grid Connection Experience: Experience in developing grid connections in accordance with transmission or distribution codes.
  • Due Diligence and Owner's Engineer Experience: Experience in due diligence and owner's engineer roles.
  • Ambitions to Grow the Department: Ambitions to further grow the department and contribute to the success of Ramboll Group A/S.
