Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our team at KBR. As a Cost Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing and maintaining a comprehensive Cost Engineering framework and service for our Major Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage cost frameworks, systems, and resources to deliver effective cost control and reporting services to Project Managers and Sponsors.
  • Prepare, monitor, and forecast baselines during all project phases, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain cost reports, including earned value analysis, to identify critical areas and trends, and recommend recovery options.
  • Maintain the cost control database, validate data across systems, and ensure all commitments are recorded and maintained within approved financial limits.
  • Provide project outturns against baseline for LFE and Knowledge Management, and mentor and support Assistant Cost Engineers in their development.
Accountabilities
  • Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders, highlighting any current and potential issues to the Senior Cost Engineer, Lead Cost Engineer, PCM, and Project Manager.
  • Maintain compliance with approved processes, procedures, and Project Execution Plans, and contribute to the continuous improvement of functional quality and performance of Project Controls.
  • Work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan and all appropriate SLMS documents and protocols.
