We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a forward-thinking school in Sevenoaks, Kent.

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial part in supporting students with special educational needs, delivering tailored lessons that cater to their unique requirements and facilitate their academic and personal growth.

Your primary responsibilities will include planning and teaching lessons that meet the specific needs of students with SEN, providing personalized support and guidance to autistic students, working collaboratively with other teachers and professionals to develop strong support plans, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

Essential Qualities and Skills
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Previous experience of working in a secondary school is preferred
  • Experience of working with SEN students
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions, including behavior management techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
