Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled Clinical Governance Lead to oversee nursing homes in Oxfordshire & Northamptonshire, ensuring the highest clinical standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements and the ability to lead, support, and continuously improve clinical governance and quality of care.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in practice nursing, with a focus on chronic disease management and wound care. As a Clinical Governance Lead, you'll review and support the performance of every home in your region, identifying practical strategies to address any issues and improve care delivery.

Working closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff, you'll plan and implement key actions to address any issues and maintain high standards. Your leadership skills and passion for delivering the best will shine through in this role.

To succeed, you'll need to be equipped with a current NMC registration, RN (General), and evidence of continued professional development. As an experienced nurse, you've worked in a care home environment and have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead, support, and continuously improve clinical governance and quality of care in nursing homes.
  2. Review and support the performance of every home in your region, identifying practical strategies to address any issues and improve care delivery.
  3. Work closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff to plan and implement key actions to address any issues and maintain high standards.
  4. Develop and implement clinical governance plans to ensure compliance with current regulatory requirements.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.
