About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and highly skilled Senior Engineer with a solid background in structural steel, non-mechanical construction systems, or similar disciplines. As a key player in managing and guiding a small team of technicians, you will oversee the technical aspects of our product and project designs.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical expertise and commercial awareness, along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. You will be responsible for ensuring that our temporary roofing systems and products meet the highest technical and compliance standards.

With a strong focus on delivering quality outcomes, you will take the lead on design, analysis, and verification of products and project installations. Your work will have a direct impact on the success of projects both in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Analysis: Take responsibility for the design, analysis and verification of products and project installations, ensuring they meet all technical and safety standards.
  • Travel & Representation: Attend conferences, supplier/client meetings and site visits (both UK and abroad) to represent DESSA and support ongoing projects.

Requirements:

  • Education: BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, structural analysis software (e.g., SkyCiv, Dlubal, AdvancedDesign, Robot), and Office 365.
  • Industry Knowledge: Practical understanding of construction, scaffolding, temporary works and related sectors.
  • Leadership: Experience managing and guiding a team, with a strong ability to delegate and drive projects forward.
