About the Job

We are looking for a highly organized and skilled Medical Secretary to join our Radiology Administrative Team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for supporting Consultant Radiologists and the Radiology Management Team by performing various tasks such as diary management, correspondence, and facilitating reporting of scans with radiology teams and outsourcing partners.

This role offers valuable experience in managing a busy Medical Secretaries office, working alongside clinicians to deliver high-standard patient care. The post holder will produce accurate clinical and general correspondence for patients, colleagues, and GPs, regularly using complex medical terminology from audio transcription and self-generated correspondence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate clinical and general correspondence for patients, colleagues, and GPs
  • Respond to telephone calls from patients and referring clinicians, addressing their concerns and resolving queries sensitively
  • Support Consultant Radiologists and the Radiology Management Team
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with MS Office and word processing software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize a varied workload
  • Awareness of Health & Safety and data protection issues

Salary: £25,714 - £33,969 per annum
