About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team at Cardiff and Vale College. As a Support Assistant - Additional Needs, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to individuals and groups of learners with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to learners with additional learning needs, promoting independence and resilience.
- Contribute to annual reviews and development plans for learners with statutory plans, such as Individual Development Plans (IDP).
- Act as a role model and advocate for learners with additional learning needs, promoting inclusion and equality.
- Collaborate with staff and professionals to develop and implement strategies that promote learner independence.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of learners at all times.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of the needs of learners with additional learning needs and a passion for providing high-quality support. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with learners, staff, and other professionals.
