About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of innovative rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Lead Occupational Therapist and provide leadership and guidance to the team
  • Develop and implement safe, evidence-based treatments for patients with complex neurological conditions
  • Plan and prioritise a complex clinical caseload, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve agreed rehabilitation goals
  • Prescribe and provide equipment for patients during their rehabilitation journey
  • Provide intervention as part of an MDT approach and contribute to MDT service developments
  • Maintain accurate records and clinical notes in line with company policy and RCOT guidelines
  • Ensure effective communication at all levels, including with patients, families, and external agencies

Person Specification

  • HCPC registration
  • RCOT registration
  • Previous experience of working in a neurorehabilitation setting
  • Ability to motivate patients over long periods
  • Supervision experience
