About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced UK Government Technology Sales Specialist to join our team at Rowden. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology solutions and build strong relationships with key government stakeholders.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the UK government sector, leveraging their extensive knowledge of government procurement processes and their ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

This role requires a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by government agencies and frontline operators, as well as the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that meet these needs.

You will work closely with our engineering, legal, and leadership teams to shape sales strategies and shepherd engagements from initial meeting to contract signing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the UK government sector
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that meet the needs of government agencies and frontline operators
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to shape sales strategies and shepherd engagements
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working in or with central government (e.g. Home Office, Emergency Services)
  • Experience with long and complex sales cycles, with a good understanding of how central government customers buy (incl., familiarity with frameworks and tendering procedures)
  • Proven track record of sales within the public sector, ideally selling technology or engineering solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels within an organisation
