Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled paediatric dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team, providing expert care to children with complex health needs. As a Specialist Dietitian, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Main Duties of the Job

  1. Provide high-quality dietetic care to children with a range of conditions, including long Covid, post-viral fatigue, and chronic pain.
  2. Work closely with the Paediatric Dietetic team based in Morriston Hospital to ensure seamless care delivery.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, families, and carers to promote optimal health outcomes.
  4. Support the supervision and mentoring of junior staff members, students, and placement 1, 2, and 3 student dietitians and support workers and assistant practitioners.
  5. Contribute to the development of evidence-based practice, research, and clinical audit within the department.

Person Specification

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for paediatric dietetics. To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
  • HCPC Registered
  • Post-registration training in relevant areas

Desirable Criteria

  • Student Clinical Educators Course
  • Recognised management/leadership qualification
