As a Medical Assessment Specialist with Donard Recruitment, you will have the opportunity to work on a hybrid full-time or part-time basis in a role that combines your existing clinical knowledge with new challenges. This position is perfect for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Paramedics looking to take their careers to the next level.

The job involves providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) while ensuring a personalized, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service for the service user. Your main responsibilities will include managing caseloads from start to finish, conducting face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports.

You will also have the autonomy to manage cases to conclusion and assess a wide range of health conditions and disabilities affecting claimants. In addition to this, you will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, strong IT literacy, and relevant qualifications as a Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic. A valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions is also essential.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between £38,500 and £41,500 per year, with additional benefits including a basic salary of £38,500 - £41,500*, + 5% retention bonus*, + rising to 10% quality & retention bonus*, OTE: £45,650*, hybrid full-time, part-time working hours available, training options, 25 days holidays per annum, rising to 27 days with service, company laptop and mobile phone provided, access to health and wellbeing programme, annual charity day, employee network groups, company matched pension, life assurance, 15 weeks' paid maternity, cycle2work scheme, and more.
