Job Summary

WestRock is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will work within the Quality team to facilitate the analysis, design, and implementation of process solutions to drive quality performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily department performance KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Calculate metrics and evaluate process and quality data to recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Provide assistance with process troubleshooting and optimization analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all documented quality systems in line with business requirements.
  • Perform Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Measurement System Error Analysis (MSE), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Validations to minimize potential risk during manufacturing activity.
  • Provide statistical support during improvement activities, including sampling plans, capability assessments, and process development.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer for allocated customers, building up and maintaining detailed knowledge/documentation of customer critical to quality standards, manufacturing processes, managing the resolution of NCRs, and previous issues.
  • Conduct internal audits to support the business quality management systems.
  • Manage multiple projects related to process improvements.
  • Assist in developing a long-term strategy for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel occasionally.
  • Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent communication, briefing, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of achievement in Quality and/or Technical, ideally in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous working experience using problem-solving techniques.
  • Desirable knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques.
  • Full driving license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Programs.
