About the Heritage Collections Project Conservator:

This exciting opportunity focuses on the care and preservation of our vast collection, encompassing a wide range of materials. As a key member of the Department of Collection Care, you will lead in the coordination of preventive conservation activities, ensuring the long-term preservation of our collection.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake independent assessments of collection condition, proposing environmental management solutions for long-term storage and preservation.
  • To lead on the care of the collection through environment monitoring, reporting, data analysis, and Integrated Pest Management across collection storage.
  • To coordinate preventive conservation related activities concerning collection storage, ensuring continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
  • To serve as lead conservation liaison and member of core project teams for collection storage projects, guaranteeing effective delivery to time and budget.
  • To possess significant experience with collection storage related activities and considerable post-qualification experience working in the heritage sector.
