We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Control of Works Specialist to join our team at Integral UK Ltd. As a Control of Works Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of all works across our sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all high and low-risk activities carried out on site, liaising with contractors, project managers, engineering, and soft services teams.
  • Build and maintain permits on the electronic permit system.
  • Issue permits for high-risk activities such as working at height, ground disturbance, hot works, etc.
  • Review and provide comments on Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Write Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the engineering team.
  • Liaise with contractors and work owners on a daily basis.
  • Conduct daily work safety audits.
  • Undertake regular job-related training.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of 2 other Control of Works Specialists.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and guidance for disciplines such as working at heights, hot works, lifting operations, etc.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Comfortable engaging with clients, contractors, senior management, etc.
  • Proficient in IT skills such as Word, Smartsheet, and Excel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and others.
  • Minimum of 3 years working within the facilities management industry.
  • IOSH passed within the last 2 years.
  • Preferred - Previously issued high-risk permits such as working at height, hot works, etc.
  • Preferred IPAF, PASMA.
