Estates Manager Job Description

Red Rock Consultants Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Estates Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school estate, ensuring that the premises are well-maintained, safe, and secure for all users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential Health and Safety risks and take prompt action to mitigate them.
  • Act as Fire Safety Officer and complete relevant risk assessments to ensure compliance with current legislation.
  • Manage the maintenance of key services, including heating, lighting, and water systems, to ensure the school estate is well-maintained and functional.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with site procedures and safety checks.
  • Manage budgets and contracts to ensure effective facilities management.
Essential Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in facilities and estate management, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services.
  2. D1 license desirable or willingness to complete relevant training to ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
  3. Level 3 NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar H&S certifications to demonstrate a strong understanding of Health and Safety principles.
  4. Experience in managing security systems and fire safety protocols, with a strong focus on ensuring the safety of all users.
  5. Knowledge of energy and water efficiency practices to ensure the school estate is managed in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.
  6. Local to the Ashford area to ensure easy access to the school estate.
