Job Description

As a Lead Design Quality Assurance Engineer at Dowty Propellers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality and regulatory standards are met in our design and development processes. You will work closely with the design and development team to identify and implement improvements, develop and execute an audit plan to ensure compliance with Part21 regulations and AS9100 standard requirements, and enhance our Quality Management System through continuous improvement and process development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve and maintain Quality Management System related to design processes
  • Subject Matter Expert in Part21 regulations
  • Support Independent System Monitoring function
  • Ensure design projects adhere to internal and external quality standards and regulations.
  • Supporting daily quality and operations reporting through standard meeting rhythms
  • Identification of opportunities for improvement projects
  • Ownership of root cause corrective actions reducing CoPQ
Requirements
  • Relevant technical education or degree with experience in Quality or Engineering
  • Knowledge of Part21 regulations
  • Proven experience in QC Engineering, Quality System Planning and Quality Improvement methods
  • Working knowledge of CAA regulations
  • Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
