Job Description Summary

As a Lead Design Quality Assurance Engineer at GE Aerospace, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality and regulatory standards are met in our design and sustainment programs. You will work closely with our design and development team to develop and execute an audit plan that covers Part21 regulations and AS9100 requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an audit program to ensure compliance with Part21 regulations and AS9100 requirements.
  • Improve and maintain our Quality Management System related to design processes.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Part21 regulations and support Independent System Monitoring functions.
  • Ensure design projects adhere to internal and external quality standards and regulations.
  • Manage and host external audits, and work closely with stakeholders to close audit findings.
  • Support daily quality and operations reporting through standard meeting rhythms.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement projects and own root cause corrective actions to reduce CoPQ.

Requirements:

  • Relevant technical education or degree with experience in Quality or Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Part21 regulations and AS9100/ISO9001 requirements.
  • Proven experience in QC Engineering, Quality System Planning, and Quality Improvement methods.
  • Working knowledge of CAA regulations.
