Job Description Summary

As a Lead Design Quality Assurance Engineer at Dowty Propellers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality and regulatory standards are met in design and development programs. You will work closely with the design and development team to develop and execute an audit plan, ensuring compliance with Part21 regulations and AS9100 standard requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an audit plan to ensure business compliance with Part21 regulations and AS9100 standard requirements.
  • Improve and maintain the Quality Management System related to design processes.
  • Support Independent System Monitoring function.
  • Ensure design projects adhere to internal and external quality standards and regulations.
  • Support daily quality and operations reporting through standard meeting rhythms.
  • Identification of opportunities for improvement projects.
  • Ownership of root cause corrective actions reducing CoPQ.

  • Experience in Quality function within a manufacturing or engineering organisation.
  • Customer focused and understanding of customer needs.
  • Understanding of product design processes.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Relevant technical education or degree with experience in Quality or Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Part21 regulations.
  • Proven experience in QC Engineering, Quality System Planning and Quality Improvement methods.
  • Working knowledge of CAA regulations.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements.
