Job Description:

We are working in partnership with a school in Coventry to recruit a specialist Pastoral Assistant to support learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

The successful candidate will initially be required to work through Supply Star Recruitment on a probationary period, with the possibility of a permanent contract if the period is completed successfully.

The school has a specific need for someone with relevant knowledge of SEMH and experience in the education sector or a similar field.

It is essential to have a clear DBS certificate to be considered for this role. If you do not have one, Supply Star Recruitment can support you in obtaining one at a cost of £50.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To provide specialist support to learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
  2. To work closely with the school's staff to develop and implement strategies to support learners.
  3. To maintain accurate records of support provided to learners.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant knowledge of SEMH.
  • Experience in the education sector or a similar field.
  • A clear DBS certificate.
