Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Systemic Therapist to join our team at Elysium Healthcare's Brighton and Hove Hospital, a specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 12-18 years.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering systemic family psychotherapy, providing assessments and interventions to young people and their families or support systems. They will also support staff development, training, consultations and input into the multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities

As a Systemic Therapist, you will provide highly-skilled systemic interventions for the families of young people with severe, complex and persistent mental health problems, learning difficulties and/or developmental problems. You will be responsible for in-depth risk-assessments, formulating crisis planning, and providing evidence-based and formulation-driven systemic perspectives to the multidisciplinary team. You will manage a complex caseload, facilitate groups, monitor clinical progress, and engage with young people with a range of mental health needs and developmental difficulties.

Key Requirements
  • Completed a Qualifying course in Systemic Psychotherapy at Master's or doctorate level, accredited by the AFT
  • Registration with UKCP
  • Experience working with adolescents and their families presenting with complex mental health needs, high-risk behaviours and neurodevelopmental conditions in a CAMHS setting
