Job Title: Business Support Officer

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Business Support Officer. As a key member of the Neighbourhood Service team, you will provide administrative support across both Enforcement and Tenancy teams, as well as a specific support role for the Neighbourhood Tenancy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional administrative support to officers and Neighbourhood Managers to deliver an excellent housing management and ASB prevention and enforcement service to residents in a specified geographical area.
  • Support the delivery of a high standard of service against an agreed Service Plan for the assigned area in consultation with residents.
  • Administer the management of council-owned garages and car ports available for rent by members of the public, including garage lettings, allocation, and terminating rental agreements.
  • Lead on preparing and completing paperwork for new tenancies, including conducting viewings, meeting with tenants, identity checks, and ensuring first-period rent is paid in advance.
  • Oversee mutual exchange processes from receiving alerts to completion within statutory timescales.
Requirements

  • A strong administrative background with experience in housing services or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
