Design Manager

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a skilled Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design teams on critical water infrastructure projects within the Severn Trent region.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the overall design process for water infrastructure projects, ensuring that all designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a team of engineers and designers from various disciplines, including civil, mechanical, and electrical, to deliver integrated project designs.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and timely project delivery.
- Review and approve design submissions, ensuring they are technically sound and compliant with Severn Trent framework requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and resolve design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that design milestones are met on time and within budget, while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
- Engage in regular client and stakeholder meetings to communicate design progress and address any concerns.
- Demonstrated experience as a Design Manager or senior design professional, ideally within the water sector or related infrastructure industries.
- Strong understanding of design processes and best practices across multiple engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical).
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple design teams and deliver complex projects.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or design management.
