Job OverviewAs a Sales Executive, your primary responsibility will be to expand OnBuy's seller base and drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to identify, engage, and onboard high-quality sellers in target verticals or product categories.

- Utilize LinkedIn and other relevant platforms to identify, connect, and engage with potential leads within the target market.
- Conduct thorough research on potential sellers, including their product offerings, target audiences, and competitive positioning, to tailor pitches and value propositions accordingly.
- Build and maintain a strong network of connections to expand the reach and visibility of our online marketplace.
- Initiate and maintain meaningful conversations with prospects to understand their needs, educate them about our products/services, and effectively communicate the value proposition.
- Utilize automated appointment booking tools to schedule and manage sales meetings, and follow-up discussions with potential clients.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align sales efforts with ongoing campaigns, promotions, and lead generation activities.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, activity reports, and market feedback to the Director of Sales Operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, including calls, emails, meetings, and outcomes, in the company's CRM system.
- Continuously refine and optimize sales scripts, email templates, and other collateral based on feedback and performance data.
- Continuously stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging sales techniques to refine your sales strategies and approaches.
- Work closely with the account management team to ensure a seamless handoff of new sellers and provide input on strategies to drive their long-term success on the platform.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads.
- Proven track record of success in a sales role, selling to retailers/e-tailers/B2B (preferably within the e-commerce or online marketplace industry).
- Experience in developing and leveraging strategic partnerships to drive lead generation and expand the seller network.
- Proficient in leveraging LinkedIn and other digital platforms for lead generation and sales prospecting.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of leads and concurrent sales cycles.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital tools and solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling sales pitches and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of self-motivation and target-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets within a competitive market.
- Strong analytical skills to track sales performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
The salary on offer for this role is between £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience PLUS Uncapped monthly commission. In return for helping us to grow, we'll offer you company equity, meaning you own a piece of this business we are all working so hard to build.
