About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Solicitor to lead our Actions Against the Police Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex legal matters, including civil claims, judicial reviews, and appeals related to police misconduct and violations of civil liberties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of legal professionals in handling actions against the police and related legal matters.
  • Oversee complex legal cases, including civil claims, judicial reviews, and appeals, and provide strategic advice and guidance to clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research, analysis, and case preparation to support client representation.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favourable outcomes for clients, including negotiation, mediation, and litigation when necessary.
  • Forge and maintain robust relationships with clients, stakeholders, and relevant authorities to facilitate efficient communication and advocacy efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines throughout all aspects of case management and client representation.
