About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Maternity Ward Clerk at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional customer service to clients accessing sexual health, contraception, and HIV services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm and welcoming first point of contact to all clients, general public, and professionals who visit or contact LSH.
  • Manage a broad range of enquiries with professionalism, proactive, and problem-solving approach.
  • Coordinate and manage changes to clinic lists and client flow.
  • Monitor capacity throughout the day and highlight any significant capacity/demand pressure.
  • Check reception area to ensure all clients are being dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Provide non-judgmental care to people living with HIV, commercial sex workers, people who are LGBTQIA+, and transgender or non-binary individuals.
  • Administer data input, scanning, sending texts to clients, photocopying, laminating, and managing the condom card postal scheme.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in Customer Care or 5 GCSEs or above.
  • Working with the public.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of LSH service.
  • Understanding of why confidentiality is important in sexual health.
  • Understanding of and ability to demonstrate non-discriminatory behaviors.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
