Job Summary:

As a Healthcare Assistant at Aurum Care Ltd, you will play a crucial role in supporting our patients and healthcare team. You will provide essential care to patients under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Support patients in maintaining personal hygiene and comfort.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.

Clinical Support:

  • Assist in preparing patients for medical procedures and examinations.
  • Collect samples for testing, such as blood, urine, or swabs, as directed.
  • Help with wound care, dressing changes, and administering medication under supervision.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding patient needs and observations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is desirable.
