Nursery Director and Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Director and Manager to lead our Bright Horizons Cambridge nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding care to all children in the setting, driving employee engagement, retention, and performance, and working in partnership with Recruitment and HR to ensure the nursery is fully recruited.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the nursery team to deliver high-quality care and education to children
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance through inspirational leadership
  • Work in partnership with Recruitment and HR to ensure the nursery is fully recruited
  • Role model and mentor the nursery team to ensure the highest quality early childhood practice and experience for all children
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery, holding overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery and management of safeguarding and child protection policies

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Experience within an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar
  • Experience of participating in a regulatory inspection, leading to a "Good" or "Outstanding" outcome
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners
