About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at Research Innovations. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge software solutions for critical defense and intelligence customers.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience with Linux system administration, cloud hosting environments, and scripting. They will be responsible for designing, integrating, and managing delivered RII technologies and capabilities within the UK MoD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and configuring distributed environments based on many open source and commercial products
  • System administration of development, test, and production systems at various locations across the globe
  • Implementing and utilizing monitoring, alerting, and response system capabilities
  • Analyzing system, software, and user performance metrics to include trend capture
  • Maintaining a suite of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support production operations appropriate to existing or anticipated failure modes that expertly document responses to system failure issues

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, equivalent degree, or previous work experience
  • 5+ years experience with Linux (CentOS or Red Hat or Ubuntu) system administration
  • Experience with cloud hosting environments, specifically Azure and Azure Stack Hub on premises platforms
  • Experience with Powershell scripting
