We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale distributed environments based on open-source and commercial products.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with Linux system administration (CentOS or Red Hat or Ubuntu), cloud hosting environments (Azure and Azure Stack Hub), and scripting languages (PowerShell). Experience with Ansible, Bicep, Terraform, and Docker is also highly desirable.

About the Role
  • Deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and configuring distributed environments based on many open-source and commercial products
  • System administration of development, test, and production systems at various locations across the globe
  • Implementing and utilizing monitoring, alerting, and response system capabilities
  • Analyzing system, software, and user performance metrics to include trend capture
  • Implementing and utilizing production change and compliance management systems covering hardware life cycle, system updates, software, and security patching, and technology roadmaps
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with Linux system administration (CentOS or Red Hat or Ubuntu)
  • Experience with cloud hosting environments (Azure and Azure Stack Hub)
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.
  • Knowledge of interface messaging protocols (ASCA, CoT, JREAP-C)
  • Maintaining a suite of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support production operations
  • Configuring and maintaining user account management interfaces and system supports
  • Utilizing security management capabilities to ensure a secure and compliant service and system architecture
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
