Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Midas. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the management of the commercial function within the construction phase of a project to maximise the target margins incorporated into the annual Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the tender process for the construction phase consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide tender reports and recommendations to the management board.
  • Prepare contract documents for major suppliers and contractors, including going through legal due diligence and financial close.
  • Manage valuations, payments, claims, settlement of Final Accounts, and any other commercial matters which may arise during the construction phase of a project.
  • Liaise with the project team to resolve any other matters which may arise with a commercial implication for the project.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior construction commercial management role.
  • HND/degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors.
  • Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis.
  • Knowledge of client-side experience in the renewables or other development sectors would be advantageous.
