Job Title: Sustainability Engineer

About the Opportunity:

  • We seek an experienced Sustainability Engineer to join our team at Scantec Personnel Limited.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing waste management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the safe and sustainable handling of radioactive and non-radioactive waste.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse waste inventory data and prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders and regulators, highlighting opportunities for process improvement.
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and compliance with project objectives.
  • Develop and implement efficient waste management plans to support operational and decommissioning activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in waste management within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, environmental, or defence.
  • Proven experience in radioactive waste management and understanding of decommissioning processes.
  • Expertise in waste minimisation, treatment, and disposal techniques.
  • A salary of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, along with a car allowance and company benefits.
