We are seeking an exceptional leader to spearhead our Fairness, Inclusion & Respect (FIR) programme within the construction and engineering industry.

The FIR initiative focuses on identifying and addressing challenges and barriers within the sector, promoting a more attractive, diverse and welcoming work environment for all stakeholders.

Key objectives of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive toolkit to support diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Designing and delivering workshops, events, and training programmes to enhance awareness and skills
  • Creating digital tools and resources to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Establishing and leading a network of over 600 FIR Ambassadors across the industry

Action Sustainability is a leading consultancy dedicated to driving sustainability through the delivery of innovative solutions like the FIR Programme.

In this leadership position, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a high-performing team to successfully deliver the FIR Programme
  • Representing the FIR Programme at industry forums and conferences
  • Advocating for a fairer, more inclusive, and respectful industry
  • Developing and implementing strategies to expand and sustain the FIR Programme
  • Creating engaging industry reports and learning materials

You will bring a strong track record of leading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, as well as a passion for addressing equality and diversity issues.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A 'can-do' attitude with a focus on delivering results
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • The ability to apply a systematic approach to project coordination
  • Capacity to think creatively and outside the box
  • Strong stakeholder management and influence skills

This role offers a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
