We are currently seeking a Building Safety and Fire Risk Specialist to join Michael Page (UK) in Lancashire.

  • This is an interim role with potential for extension, offering a competitive hourly rate.

About Our Client

Lancashire-based local authority with 6000 properties for tenants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee fire risk assessments and building surveys for Council homes, ensuring all assessments are up-to-date and quality-checked.
  • Liaise with stakeholders regarding the Fire Safety work programme for Council homes.
  • Manage the allocation of fire safety actions and update records.
  • Collaborate in identifying technical solutions and developing a planned programme of fire safety works.
  • Prepare fire safety project specifications, including measured surveys and tender documentation.
  • Appoint specialist contractors, manage pre-commencement meetings, and ensure contractual prerequisites are provided.

Requirements

  • Possess relevant academic or technical qualifications, e.g., BTEC HNC or degree in building surveying or construction.
  • Hold a NEBOSH Fire Safety Management Certificate Level 3.
  • Experience in fire safety maintenance work within Social Housing.
  • A working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
