About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant G5 to join our team at Lockyer's Middle School. As a key member of our learning-focused team, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and well-being of our students.

The successful candidate will have high expectations of children's learning and behaviour, and will be able to inspire and engage students across the school from Year 5 to Year 8. You will be able to build and maintain good relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers, and will have a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to support the needs of the children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals and small groups in their learning, using initiative to personalise and adapt where necessary.
  • Provide in-class and small group support to students, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the well-being and self-discipline of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching and learning across the school.
