Procurement Engineer for Energy Projects

Coalesce Management Consulting is seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer to join our team for an Energy Project in Chester.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier/contract management, and tendering, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Analyse risks and opportunities to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership and implement effective measures.
  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor offers to determine the most suitable purchasing goals and negotiate contracts.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and procure necessary materials within specified timelines and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement logistics and imports processes in collaboration with the Head Office Procurement Department.
  • Monitor the supply market, staying informed of developments, trends, risks, and opportunities, and maintain relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Ensure warehouse activities, including consumables, goods receipt, and transfer, are carried out efficiently.
  • Prepare and deliver procurement reports and presentations as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience in Mechanical Contracting Projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of the UK market and experience with ERP software, preferably SAP, is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective stakeholder and supplier management.
