Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Support Specialist to join our team at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves working as part of a dynamic team providing support to Specimen Reception, Biochemistry, Immunology, Haematology, and Blood Transfusion.

The ideal candidate will have excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to handle blood and body samples and lift and move multiple boxes/cartons of up to 20kg. A high level of attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and instructions accurately is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is well organized, has excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and can work flexibly, including shift working, weekend working, and bank holidays.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £25,543 per annum, based on experience.
