Clinical Services

The Haematology Department provides a comprehensive range of clinical haematology services. As a Consultant, you will be involved in delivering both clinical and laboratory haematology.

The specific leads for each area will be negotiated among the Consultants depending on their specialist interests. There will also be a joint responsibility to ensure Consultant medical input to the clinical laboratory service.

Laboratory Services

The Trust provides a routine and emergency laboratory service for in and outpatient requests for haematological tests. The Haematology Department is part of the Medicine Division which includes other Pathology disciplines, Radiology and Pharmacy.

Accredited under the UKAS ISO 15189 standards, the Trust offers a wide range of haematological tests and services to support the diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders.
