MidKent College seeks a skilled Learning Mentor to provide maternity cover for a Fixed Term contract. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing and delivering extra-curricular activities for learners with EHCPs, ensuring they meet their specified outcomes.

Job Summary

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a deep understanding of EHCPs and the ability to create inclusive learning environments. As a Learning Mentor, you will:

  • Work closely with teaching staff to design and implement tailored plans for learners with EHCPs.
  • Provide guidance and support to learners, helping them develop essential life skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of inclusion and respect within the college.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience working with learners with EHCPs or similar special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with learners, teachers, and parents/carers.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in supporting learners with EHCPs.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including:

  • £38,000 - £48,000 per annum (dependent on experience), based on 37 hours per week.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme and employee assistance program.
