Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Regulatory Affairs at People Scout. As a key member of our Authorisations Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the assessment of the quality requirements of applications for marketing authorisations for biological/immunological veterinary medicinal products (VMPs) which are authorised for use in the UK. This will involve:

  • Leading and managing a team of assessors involved in the assessment of safety, efficacy, and overall benefit-risk of biological VMPs
  • Carrying out assessments of certain applications and peer reviewing those carried out by other team members
  • Developing and training assessors in areas related to biological VMPs
  • Formulating national and international regulatory policies and guidelines for VMPs, including novel therapy VMPs
  • Providing scientific and regulatory advice to applicants and stakeholders
  • Leading on VMD's global cooperation initiatives in regulatory affairs, work-sharing across regulatory jurisdictions, and capacity strengthening

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Extensive experience in regulatory affairs, particularly in the area of biological/immunological VMPs
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of national and international regulatory policies and guidelines related to VMPs
